Der Pianist und Komponist Arman Ratip lebt in der türkischen Republik Nordzypern. Er wird von der Musikkritik als einer der herausragenden und fesselnden Virtuosen unserer Zeit gefeiert. Seine Musik ist die Musik des 21 Jahrhunderts. Es ist bekannt als 'The Space Composer', aber auch als 'The Great Improviser'.

His music is monumental. Bengi For Piano and Orchestra is just glorious. A really unexpected romantic setting at first then the attack. His piano Concerto No: 1 in D Minor is superb and a real triumph. His piano Concerto No: 2 in C Minor is a large scale piece, by turns lyrical and powerful and a great achievement for this important TRNC composer.
