The saxophonist Keir Neuringer was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1976. In 1999 he received a degree in composition from Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, having also studied music and literature at that institution's London Center and at the University of North Texas. He was a recipient of a Fulbright Grant in the years 1999-2001 to study composition with Marek Stachowski and interactive computer music with Marek Choloniewski at the Academy of Music in Kraków, Poland. He is presently studying composition at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, Netherlands. His focus as an improviser is on creating valid musical form out of the correspondences between time (when he is performing), space (where he is performing), and circumstance (why and with whom he is performing). He is increasingly interested in various folk and ethnic musics and their influence on his approach to the saxophone, which has hitherto been concerned especially with extended technique.
Keir Neuringer is a member of the improvisational group Infinity Quartet (with trombonist Ryan Zawel, Marek Choloniewski on electronics, and bassist Rafal Mazur) and a co-founder of ioe, the Improviser's Ensemble, a society of improvisers based in Kraków with a monthly concert series. His solo-improvised concert in Kraków's Popper Synagogue in July, 2001 is scheduled to be released by NotTwo Records in April, 2002, along with a duo recording with Rafal Mazur.
Jacek Majewski - is a versalite drummer who uses typical jazz classical percussion instruments and objects and sounds (ordinary and unique) taken from surrounding world - water, metal, wood, air, barrels, pipes, floor and so on... The horizon of the sound s preads from whisper, splash, murmur to thunder of drum beat, from sophisticated noises of contemporary percussion music to crack and rumble of broken glass and squeezed scrap. He recorded 'a' and 'Out Out toLunch' with Mazzoll & ArhythmicPerfection and played on record 'Concert in Mózg' by group Loskot and 'Enoptronia' by Maestro Trytony. Member of trio Arhythmic Brain. He worked with most of best alternative jazz and rock musicians from Poland and with Jon Dobie, Caroline Craabel,Jon Rose.
